vps ID Systeme GmbH Becomes Subsidiary Of Digital Identification Solutions
vps ID Systeme GmbH has recently becomes a subsidiary of Digital Identification Solutions AG. As a wholly owned subsidiary, vps will continue to operate in the market as a separate company. Through this move, the two long-time partners expect significant synergies to be generated in research and development as well as in sales and marketing.
"For us, incorporation into the Digital Identification Solutions Group means the acceleration of our company's growth strategy," said Jürgen König, managing director and partner of vps since the founding of the company in 1992. "Under the umbrella of the Digital Identification Solutions Group we will be able to provide even greater support to our international customers and partners, strengthen our market share and expand our sales and marketing channels."
König will continue to head vps with its 35 employees at the company’s present location in Ettlingen, near Karlsruhe, Germany.
vps ID Systeme will become the seventh member of the globally operating Digital Identification Solutions Group with its subsidiaries and support centers in Europe, Middle East, Asia, China, Mexico and the United States.
For many years, the software specialist vps has focused on JAVA, giving the company a major advantage compared to other software providers. This advantage has enabled vps to build up a major base of references in industry and government, including Siemens, BMW, RWE, the Ingersoll-Rand Group and DRV. Furthermore, the company is represented in numerous standards-setting bodies such as BitKom.
"This is one of the rare opportunities where one plus one results in far more than two,” said Gerd Schaefer, CEO of Digital Identification Solutions AG. “Due to the projects which have been already implemented together and the long-term co-operation of both companies, it will be possible to integrate and expand much faster than if two strangers had joined forces. We are very happy that our long-term partnership could be strengthened in this sustained way and that the build-up of Mr. König and his team can be further developed as part of the internationally operating Digital Identification Solutions Group."
