Security Executive Council Launches Research Arm
The Security Executive Council recently announced launch of its research arm, the Security Leadership Research Institute. The SLRI is dedicated to providing independent and actionable research on the full spectrum of risk mitigation and security practices.
The Security Leadership Research Institute will continue and expand upon work already in progress on topics such as board-level risk, regulations and compliance, awareness program elements, security program performance metrics, security titles and reporting and the cost of security. Research results will also be used to build a benchmarking resource of unprecedented size and scope.
Security Leadership Research Institute membership benefits include research reports and benchmarks; quick poll results, a discount on selected products from the Council’s Leadership Store, the option to receive Security Executive Council deliverables through participation, access to the metrics database, and the Institute Issue Watch newsletter. Potential members must possess certain qualifications to join, such as current security practitioner status. Members are required to participate in a small number of surveys to maintain membership status.
