ISC West From The Sidelines

Mother Nature has a funny way of ushering out the winter and delivering spring. By all accounts, it is rainy season in Texas, but in the past couple of weeks we’ve had snow, and more snow, and two nights ago a thunder and lightning storm that put a ground halt to traffic at the airport.
That’s where I spent first night of ISC West., running from one ticket counter to another trying to find a way to get to Vegas. I had flown in earlier that day from Washington, D.C. and fully expected to continue on, but winter weather had other ideas.
In contacting my staff and coworkers, who were in Las Vegas, the show has been phenomenal by all expectations. I planned to make it to the tradeshow on Day Two, but I’m sitting here in the office trying to do the best possible work via phone, text and e-mail.
After several conversations with the airline, I’m confirmed for a Thursday night flight into Vegas and I’m looking forward to stuffing three days into one.
ISC West is the premier security tradeshow and I’ve missed learning as much as possible about the new products. I’m sure our sales team and editors have handed out our forms for the Security Products New Product of the Year, and with that in mind, I hope to catch up on the latest and greatest products in the market. Our contest is taking entries until June 15, after which our well-qualified judges will examine the entries.
I’m anxious to get to ISC West, even if for only one day, and catch up with as many of you as possible. I’ll be hustling through the show floor, but please feel free to stop and chat. Your products, ideas and knowledge are what make this tradeshow a booming success.
