GPSit Names Mexico Distributor At Expo Seguridad
GPS International Technologies Inc., a provider of location-based security solutions, recently named Guibor Promoter S.A. of C.V. as its distributor in Mexico for GPSit's covert GPS tracking solutions and services, which are immediately available to companies moving high-value assets throughout Mexico. GPSit products were on display in Sym's booth during Expo Seguridad Mexico.
Highly accurate and dependable asset tracking in Mexico is a key concern for many businesses who desire to track their high-value goods and thereby improve loss prevention initiatives.
"GPSit's solution is vastly superior to almost all asset tracking solutions," said Gadi Mokotov, general manager, Guibor Promoter. "We extensively tested many solutions and determined its highly sensitive Assisted GPS (A-GPS) trackers, which enable location determination of goods-in-transit even from within a truck or warehoused location, to be exactly what our customers require."
Cargo tracking is enabled by Trackfusion, a Web-based application that provides real-time visibility of the goods in transit. Utilizing Qualcomm's gpsOne position location technology available on CDMA networks, tracking devices can obtain a position fix even when embedded within a shipment in the back of a closed trailer. Advanced features such as photo sensors to detect the presence of light and vibration sensors to detect movement greatly extend tracking device battery life. These technology improvements have greatly expanded the scope of asset tracking opportunities in Mexico.
Service available in Mexico is enabled by GPSit's cellular services partner IUSACELL. IUSACELL's CDMA data network provides the location and data services that enable the highly accurate A-GPS locates of GPSit's FS1 family of covert tracking devices.
