QinetiQ North America Appoints John Lambeth as Chief Information Officer

QinetiQ North America has appointed John Lambeth as chief information officer. He will be responsible for strategic development of the company's information technology capabilities and management of its IT network infrastructure.

Lambeth joins QinetiQ North America from Blackboard Inc., where he was vice president of the Technology Solutions Group. There, he was responsible for IT strategy, budget development and alignment between the IT investment portfolio and the company's strategic development; enterprise and business intelligence applications; the company's Web presence; and technology compliance for information security, risk management, Sarbanes-Oxley and other corporate-level audit activities.

"John Lambeth has a strong track record of success in leading strategic IT programs and using technology to strengthen all aspects of an organization's business operations, including mergers and acquisitions integration," said Michael Stolarik, president and COO for QinetiQ North America. "We are pleased and excited by his decision to join QinetiQ North America. We expect him to play an active role in developing both the strategy and tools to help us manage the company's business and data more efficiently and effectively."

Lambeth began his career with Xerox Corporation in 1988, developing executive information and business forecasting systems. He continued with Xerox through 2002, where in his final position he was the CIO for Xerox Connect (an IT consulting and managed services company), responsible for technology architecture and infrastructure development, business continuity and disaster recovery, mission critical call centers and the integration of acquired company IT assets. From Xerox, he moved to CIGNA and Erickson Senior Living, where he held the positions of vice president of corporate systems and senior vice president and CIO, respectively. He also served as an officer in the Army Reserve.

He holds a bachelor's degree in chemistry from McDaniel College and an MBA from the University of Rochester. He also holds several industry technology certifications.
