Franco van Heijningen to Lead Honeywell's Development of Critical Infrastructure Security

Honeywell \announced that Franco P.L. van Heijningen has joined the company as general manager for its Vindicator Technologies business. Vindicator offers electronic security systems that protect critical assets and personnel within the government, military, commercial and industrial markets at more than 1,500 sensitive sites across the globe.

“I’m truly excited to have this opportunity to lead the Vindicator business,” van Heijningen said. “We’re poised to offer our customers the best products, programs and support they need to help them successfully protect their critical infrastructure now and well into the future.”

In his new role, van Heijningen will report to Scott Harkins, president and general manager of Honeywell Systems. “Franco has a remarkable knowledge of new technologies and new products related to the broader field of security and information technology, along with a passion for creating a high-performance work team using strong talent management practices,” said Harkins. “I know he’ll focus that passion on bringing maximum value to our customers.”

Van Heijningen brings more than 30 years of industry experience to Honeywell. Throughout his career he has held various roles of increasing responsibility, including senior-level electrical engineer and project management positions with consulting organizations in Asia and the Netherlands. Most recently, he served as the vice president of technology and personnel development for Niscayah, Inc. Van Heijningen will be based in Austin, Texas, where Honeywell’s Vindicator security systems are manufactured and supported.
