Ram Appalaraju Joins Enterasys Networks as VP of Marketing

Enterasys Networks, a Siemens Enterprise Communications company, has appointed Ram Appalaraju as vice president of marketing. Appalaraju brings with him more than 20 years of marketing experience in high-technology enterprises with extensive expertise in virtualization, automation and management technologies for data center environments.

"We are proud to have Ram lead our marketing team," said Chris Crowell, president and CEO of Enterasys Networks. "His years of experience leading marketing efforts for networking and enterprise IT companies will greatly contribute to our efforts to gain additional market share, broaden our customer base and drive the company's messaging strategy."

Appalaraju comes to Enterasys from Meru Networks, where he served for the past 18 months as the senior vice president of marketing. Prior to that, he has served in senior management positions for several other enterprises, including Isilon Systems, HP and GE.

"It's exciting to join a company as dynamic and innovative as Enterasys Networks," Appalaraju said. "I'm very impressed with the company's innovative portfolio of products and incredibly loyal customer base. I'm looking forward to contributing to the team, as Enterasys moves forward with new world class communications and security solutions to enable businesses to compete in the global economy."
