Garrettcom Names Lee House Managing Director
GarrettCom Inc. has named Lee House as general manager. In his new role, House is the senior executive in charge of all aspects of GarrettCom, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Belden, Inc. House’s appointment as leader of the management team that will guide and support GarrettCom’s continued growth in the years ahead, is part of a planned transition of responsibility as Frank Madren, GarrettCom president since 1992, moves to a supporting role. House will report to Denis Suggs, acting vice president of Belden’s Industrial Solutions Division (ISD).
House, who joined GarrettCom in 2008 as vice president of engineering, most recently served as executive vice president and chief technology officer, where he has been instrumental in leading the development of the company’s next generation line of switches, routers, and software products. House was a member of the joint transition team in charge of smoothly integrating GarrettCom into Belden after GarrettCom's acquisition by Belden last December.
“I believe that the GarrettCom management team’s experience and history of success, now combined with the many synergies and benefits of being a part of Belden, positions us very well for significant growth. I look forward to working with all of the team to realize these expectations and the long term potential of GarrettCom,” House said.
“Lee’s appointment as GM is something that I support enthusiastically. I have been working for many months with Lee on all aspects of GCI’s business, and I have faith in his ability to move forward smoothly as we take GarrettCom to new heights and realize our potential as a strategic part of the Belden organization,” Madren said.
House has 22 years’ experience in R&D and product development, with a focus on LAN, WAN, IP and security products and has held management positions at companies including 3Com, DiTech Networks, IBM and Jetstream Communications. He received his MBA and MSCE from Duke University, and his BSEE from Christian Brothers University.
