SimplexGrinnell Highlights Services Capabilities of 4100ES Platform at 2011 NFPA Expo
SimplexGrinnell, a Tyco International company, is highlighting the Simplex 4100ES (eServices) fire alarm system at the 2011 NFPA Conference & Expo – showing attendees how the new platform’s serviceability features can improve operational efficiency and lower life-cycle costs.
Developed around the theme of Setting the Pace in Life Safety, this year’s SimplexGrinnell booth (#351) focuses on technology and service. Keeping with that theme, the R & D investments that brought the Simplex 4100ES platform to market have strengthened SimplexGrinnell’s leadership position and enhanced its ability to provide differentiated life-safety solutions.
The 4100ES system has been built with the needs of engineers, contractors, facility managers and building owners in mind. The new system provides added processing power, simpler installation and serviceability features that include remote service diagnostics, remote program downloads over a customer’s IT network, and mass storage of vital system data right within the 4100ES panel. These capabilities will all be demonstrated at the NFPA show, together with an array of complementary technologies that SimplexGrinnell can integrate to deliver a comprehensive life-safety solution.
TrueInsight Remote Service
TrueInsight Remote Service, a Web-based diagnostic technology, provides real-time information about the operating status of advanced Simplex fire alarm systems. Issues can be identified and diagnosed remotely—sometimes before a customer even knows that a problem exists.
Simplex TrueSite Workstation – Client/Server Capability
With new client/server enhancements for the Simplex TrueSite Workstation, SimplexGrinnell is better able to meet customer requirements for scalable, high-end information management solutions. The client/server capability means SimplexGrinnell can provide a much easier and more cost-effective deployment for customers requiring multiple workstations.
Emergency Communications
SimplexGrinnell’s Emergency Communications Display Interface enable the company to use a customer’s existing building video displays for emergency and non-emergency messaging.
“We are excited to use this year’s NFPA Expo to demonstrate new technologies and product enhancements that strengthen our life-safety solutions capabilities, support our strong focus on service, and advance our long-standing commitment to leadership and innovation,” said John Haynes, director of fire alarm marketing. “With these advancements, SimplexGrinnell is very well positioned to meet our customers’ evolving challenges in life safety and property protection – today and in the future.”
