Secure Technologies Group Appoints Adam Suri to Senior Vice President of Cyber Operations
Secure Technologies Group, a cybersecurity provider, announced the addition of Adam Suri as senior vice president of Cyber Operations.
In this role, Suri will head and build a strong commercial and public sector government business that will enable the company to take full advantage of the need for cybersecurity products and services in these markets.
“We are very pleased to welcome Adam to Secure Technologies,” said Eric Jan, co-founder and CEO of Secure Technologies Group. “We’ve succeeded in the demanding intelligence community market by building a well-rounded team of subject matter experts who always put our clients first. Adam embodies these same qualities and will lead our efforts to help protect two highly vulnerable and critically important markets - the commercial and public sectors – with best practices and state-of-the-art solutions.”
Suri comes to Secure Technologies from the State of Maryland’s Department of Business and Economic Development, where he was the director of cybersecurity, charged with implementing the recommendations of Gov. Martin O’Malley’s CyberMaryland Initiative. Prior to that, he was a serial entrepreneur: as co-founder of Beny Bigalos and managing sales and marketing at Yafo Networks. His cyber background includes roles in leading sales, marketing and engineering at Yafo Networks, Cisco Systems, Honeywell and Charles Industries.
Suri has a Bachelor of Science degree in industrial engineering from Bradley University and an MBA from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He also holds patents in network management and optical encryption.
“The addition of Suri to the Secure Technologies team is an outstanding choice,” said Larry Letow, managing partner of Maryland Cyber Investment Partners. “Adam brings years of experience in technology, relationships throughout Maryland, and a clear understanding of the working of the federal government.”
