Geoff Charron Joins BeyondTrust as Vice President of Engineering

BeyondTrust, a provider of privilege delegation and authorization management solutions, announced enterprise security software veteran, Geoff Charron has joined the BeyondTrust team as vice president of engineering, where he will be responsible for product development and quality assurance for the company’s complete product portfolio.

Charron joins the BeyondTrust team with more than 19 years of experience in engineering, managing and directing global teams in design, development and delivery of enterprise software products. Prior to joining BeyondTrust, Charron led the security products team at CA Technologies’ India Technology Center. Before joining CA Technologies, Charron lead the development of several market leading enterprise security products at Gradient Technologies, Netegrity (acquired by CA) and BEA Systems (acquired by Oracle).

“Geoff’s deep expertise in enterprise security software and years of experience building world class software engineering organizations makes him a tremendous addition to the BeyondTrust team,” said Jim Zierick, executive vice president of product operations at BeyondTrust. “In addition to overseeing product development and quality assurance for our product family, Geoff will work closely with our development team to implement best practices in software development and testing, while also being an integral part of our product strategy and planning process. This will help to accelerate our efforts to bring successful new products to market and deliver on our vision of securing the perimeter within.”

Charron holds a master of science in mechanical engineering and a bachelor of science in manufacturing engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute in Worcester, Mass.
