Westec Intelligent Surveillance Hires Dan Wilson as CFO
Westec Intelligent Surveillance, a remote video monitoring company, announced that Dan Wilson has been named the company’s chief financial officer. Westec is poised for additional growth and chose Wilson for his experience managing companies on a growth track.
The company’s proprietary video monitoring technology allows specialists to “talk” and interact with potential thieves in thousands of customer locations nationwide in real time.
Wilson’s responsibilities will include providing leadership and technical expertise to the accounting and human resource departments, executing the annual financial plan, managing internal and external financial reporting, and providing financial oversight in mergers and acquisition activity as needed.

Wilson joins Westec with more than 20 years of finance and operations experience, including the past three years as chief financial officer of GAP Broadcasting Group, a privately held group of 125 radio stations with more than 600 employees. Prior to joining GAP, Wilson served as chief financial officer of American Community Newspapers for six years. Additionally, Wilson has served in various finance and corporate development roles with AMFM/Chancellor Media, Marcus Cable, Crown Media, Cencom Cable and Novo Networks.
