Wedge Networks Expands Executive Management Team

Wedge Networks, a provider of remediation-based deep content inspection for high-performance, network-based Web security, announced a series of executive appointments to extend its global leadership.

The additions include Werner Gartner, CFO, Joe Haar, vice president of sales and Hussein Amery, vice president of business development. The appointments, effective immediately, round out the company's executive team as it continues to add new customers, strategic partnerships and an expanding portfolio of new and enhanced security solutions.

"As organizations adopt network based social media, cloud-based systems and intelligent mobile devices, there has been an increase in security threats and compliance requirements," said Hongwen Zhang, CEO of Wedge Networks. "To follow through on our commitment to uncompromised security, Wedge Networks has established an executive team with strong, proven management experience that will be crucial as the company grows its place in the market. The new executives will provide us with in-depth experience and knowledge necessary for us to achieve our overall business goals."

With more than 20 years of executive experience in technology-based businesses, Gartner brings a strong and proven track record of successful financial transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, strategic partnerships and IPOs, significantly increasing organizations' market value.

Haar is a Silicon Valley sales professional with a 15-year track record of success pioneering Internet technology companies, sales strategies and revenue growth. He brings his experience in successful management and revenue generation to his position as vice president of sales, U.S.A.

As vice president of business development, Amery holds more than 25 years of experience building successful businesses, in a variety of industries. Amery leverages his experience to deliver network security to a host of new partners and customers in the marketplace.
