[UPDATE: November 28, 2016 12:00 p.m.]
Ohio State University officials held a press conference giving a timeline of events this morning.
9:52 a.m.
A male suspect drove over a curb onto a walk way near the corner of West 19th Street and College Road. It was there that several people were struck by the vehicle.
The male then exited the car and began to swing, what the OSU Police Chief called a "butcher knife," at pedestrians nearby, injuring a few in the process.
9:53 a.m
Within a minute of the car crash, an Ohio State police officers was on the scene. Public Safety Director, Monica Moll, said that the officer shot and killed the suspect after assessing the scene.
9:55 a.m.
The first "Buckeye Alert" went out alerting students of an active shooter on campus. This alert told students to, "Run. Hide. Fight."
Moll explained the "Run. Hide. Fight." phrase was used in their security training on campus. Students who went through the training would understand what to do when the phrase is used.
11:00 a.m.
OSU Police lift the shelter in place alert, allowing students to leave the buildings they had previously barricaded themselves in.
Earlier in the morning, two other suspects had been arrested. These two have been cleared at this time. OSU police believe the suspect who was shot and killed is the only suspect in the incident.
Overall, 10 victims were reported to have been injured in the incident. All are being treated for injuries consistent with a car crash or a knife attack.
While the shelter in place alert has been lifted, OSU has cancelled classes for the day and parts of the campus have been closed off as police continue to investigate.
