ISC Security Events, Security Industry Association and ASIS NYC Chapter Announce 2022 Keynote Speakers for ISC East

ISC East, the Northeast’s leading security and public safety event built by RX Global, hosted in collaboration with premier sponsor Security Industry Association (SIA) and in partnership with ASIS NYC, is pleased to announce that security and technology leaders Tomás Maldonado and Ryan McKenzie will headline the 2022 SIA Education@ISC East Keynote Series with the presentation “NFL Perspectives on Cybersecurity and Organizational Resilience.” This keynote session is open to all attendees at ISC East, taking place Nov. 15-17 (SIA Education@ISC: Nov. 15-17 |Exhibit Hall: Nov. 16-17) at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in New York City.

National Football League (NFL) stadiums are leveraging venue technologies and other digital innovations to optimize the fan experience and strengthen security operations and public safety. Managing the cybersecurity function for new technology services and enhancements deployed across 30 stadiums requires a strategic and converged approach to organizational resilience. In this keynote presentation, NFL Chief Information Security Officer Tomás Maldonado and MetLife Stadium Vice President of Stadium Technology Ryan McKenzie will offer expert insights and best practices to help security professionals anticipate, mitigate, and respond to the risks and threats associated with today’s digital transformation and integrated technology systems used to support event operations.

“ISC East is thrilled to welcome Tomás Maldonado and Ryan McKenzie as our 2022 keynote speakers; as we know, organizations today must take a more converged approach when implementing security solutions, and their expertise in cybersecurity and technology services will provide valuable insights to our attendees and assist security professionals in anticipating and responding to potential threats,” said RX Global Event Director, ISC Security Events Mary Beth Shaughnessy.

Also, at ISC East this year, the ASIS NYC Chapter Person of the Year Lunch taking place on Wednesday, Nov. 16, will kick off with featured speaker, John Miller, chief law enforcement and intelligence analyst at CNN. Along with his prior law enforcement career, Miller has worked in journalism as a senior correspondent for CBS News reporting for CBS This Morning and CBS Evening News for 60 Minutes. He is the winner of the DuPont Silver Baton (“DuPont Award), two Peabody Awards and eleven Emmys. Miller is also a former ABC News correspondent and anchor, perhaps best known for conducting a May 1998 interview with Osama bin Laden in Afghanistan. He is the co-author of the New York Times bestseller The Cell: Inside the 9/11 Plot.

In addition to the Keynote, ISC East attendees may purchase conference passes to gain access to over 30 education sessions through the SIA Education@ISC conference program. The dynamic SIA Education@ISC East program brings you all-new content on the most current business trends and technologies and latest developments. Learn from the experts and take your security to the next level with informative, engaging sessions covering topics such as artificial intelligence, crisis communication, uncrewed systems, physical security and more. SIA will offer two essential trainings on Nov. 15 – the SIA Open Supervised Device Protocol (OSDP) Boot Camp, an in-depth training on how to design, configure and deploy modern, interoperable, OSDP-compliant access control systems, and the new Security Industry Cybersecurity Certification (SICC) Review Course, an offering designed to help attendees prepare to earn the SICC, the security industry’s first credential specifically focused on cybersecurity and physical security convergence – in addition to the full conference lineup taking place Nov. 16-17.

“The SIA Education@ISC East conference program offers a robust variety of dynamic sessions exploring the interplay between physical security, cybersecurity and business continuity,” said Dr. Elli Voorhees, director of learning and development at SIA. “This year’s program – incorporating a mix of interactive panels, use case studies and technical instruction – takes a full-ecosystem approach and brings security practitioners together with solution providers to exchange ideas, address challenges, share expert insights and find innovative ways to move the industry forward. It’s a unique event and one that brings a lot of value to public-private security partnerships in the tristate area.”

At ISC East, over 4,500 security and public safety professionals will convene in New York to meet experts from over 185 leading security brands. ISC East 2022 will provide a comprehensive security industry event and allow you to expand your network and explore the most cutting-edge products, technologies and solutions.
