Video Security Firm IQSIGHT Named CVE Numbering Authority

The designation allows the company to directly assign identifiers and track software vulnerabilities.

Video security company IQSIGHT has been designated as a Common Vulnerability and Exposures Numbering Authority within the CVE Program.

The designation grants the company the authority to assign standardized identifiers, known as CVE records, to track software and firmware vulnerabilities discovered within its own products.

Previously, the organization relied on the Bosch Product Security Incident Response Team to publish these details. Company officials said the direct authorization will streamline the process of submitting advisory data to both the U.S. National Vulnerability Database and the EU Vulnerability Database.

The onboarding process was completed under the European Union Agency for Cybersecurity, which functions as the organization’s Root CNA.

According to company officials, the transition is part of an ongoing strategy to prepare for upcoming international cybersecurity regulations, including the European Union’s Cyber Resilience Act.
