Runaway Deer Breaks into Calif. Church

I bet you thought the best part of IP cameras was their ability to connect to the network, huh?

But I think you might agree with me that even more important is their ability to get some hilarious footage on YouTube quickly.

A deer recently broke into a church in Bakersfield, Calif. What ensued, as you can see, was both chaotic and hilarious. Mothers grab their children to keep them out of the beast’s path, a group of men chases the deer back and forth as in the Warner Bros. cartoons of my youth, and—spoiler alert!—in the end, the deer safely sprints out an open door into the sunset.

We get to see this all thanks to the unparalleled image quality of the church’s IP system. Indeed, this Monday morning would be much drearier without a church member’s idea to leverage this security solution for humor.
