Famous Rapper Catches Alleged Burglar In The Act

He has a famous song entitled “Mama Said Knock You Out,” and now it seems like rapper-actor LL Cool J has done some knocking out of his own.

Last Wednesday morning, the star of CBS’s “NCIS: Los Angeles” took matters into his own hands when he encountered a suspected burglar in his Los Angeles home. Shortly before 1 a.m, police received a 911 call from someone who said her father had apprehended an intruder in their home. When police arrived, they found the 44-year old television star had subdued the suspected burglar.

A 58-year old man was taken to the hospital with a broken nose, jaw, and ribs, and was arrested on suspicious of burglary shortly thereafter. LAPD spokesman Richard French said believed the suspect was a homeless man. It did not appear he held a personal vendetta against LL Cool J.

What do we take away from this story? Should more victims of burglary take matters into their own hands? Or should we leave these matters up to the police?
