To meet School Safety and Security mandates in Texas , Northwest ISD, outside of Fort Worth, Texas, has developed a detailed and collaborative system to continually assess, plan, train, monitor, drill and exercise to ensure that students and staff have the safest possible environment for teaching and learning. This presentation will include a detailed description of the processes and procedures involved in this award winning program!

  1. The learner will demonstrate an understanding of how schools can utilize data to drive decisions on safety and security.
  2. The learner will develop knowledge of current best practices in school safety and security.
  3. The learner will identify action items necessary to develop and implement a safety program in their own school district.
