CLS2-3 Behavioral Analysis: Identifying Pre-Attack Warnings

This session will offer research and experience based observations regarding pre-attack warning behaviors often exhibited by persons of concern for targeted violence.  Techniques to assist in identifying and assessing these behaviors will also be discussed.  This presentation will conclude with thoughts on a system of managing persons of concern and mitigating threats to campus safety.

Session Learning Objectives:

  1. Learn to identify warning behaviors which may indicate a person of concern is on a trajectory toward targeted violence.
  2. Understand how to identify and assess these behaviors in relation to overall context.
  3. Learn to craft actionable strategies for threat management and mitigation.
