Addressing an Increase of School Shootings
Assessing shooting threats is a matter of life or death. Why aren’t experts better at it? There is no playbook for schools, and they need all the help they can get. This session will discuss best practices for school-based threat assessment programs and recent trends in rapidly growing number of threats made against schools across the country. David holds a master’s degree in Homeland Defense and Security from the Naval Postgraduate School and is one of the co-founders of the Homeland Security Advanced Thinking Program (HSx). He teaches graduate courses in homeland security policy and critical infrastructure protection.
