PANEL SPEAKERS

Craig Scatola
Mr. Scatola is a law enforcement expert, and is board certified in security management. He served as a police sergeant for eight years in Yorktown Heights, NY, and with the Yorktown Police Department for more than 18 years. Mr. Scatola attended SUNY Westchester Community College, earning an associate’s degree as an EMT Paramedic. He also attended Pace University, with studies in Political Science and Government. He served as a paramedic for more than three years with Rockland Paramedic Services.

Secret Holt
Mrs. Holt is an outspoken advocate for campus security and safety. She is the mother of Bailey Holt, who was shot and killed on Jan. 23, 2018, at her high school in Marshall County, KY, High School. Secret was appointed seat as a member of the Kentucky Office of the Attorney General Daniel Cameron Survivor’s Council in 2021. While assisting in keeping the council victim-centered, she assists the Office of Attorney General on matters related to victims of crime, assists in awareness initiatives, policies, as well as Legislative initiatives within the state. As a result of the incident in January 2018, SB 1, HB 63 and The Bailey Holt and Preston Cope Victims Privacy Act have passed Legislature. Secret’s profound grief of losing a child to gun violence has only strengthened her mission to help put an end to such tragedies as she continues to spread awareness across the nation with her own testimony.
