Colombia Rolls Out 12-City IP Video Surveillance Project

GVI Security Solutions Inc., a provider of video security surveillance solutions featuring the complete Samsung Electronics line of products, recently announced that its cameras have been selected for a major National Security 12-city surveillance project by the Colombia Ministerio del Interior.

The GVI cameras, deployed through a full wireless network IP solution, were selected by the Colombia Ministerio del Interior through an open bidding process for the largest public surveillance project in the Andean region. The national security project encompasses 12 cities, including Bogota, the capital and largest city in Colombia.

"Our vandal resistant PTZ Dome cameras were chosen by the Colombia Ministerio del Interior (Department of State) through an open bidding process because their super high resolution, IP 66 outdoor housing, full continuous autofocus, WDR and wireless networking capabilities met and exceeded the specs for the job," said Mauricio Pinzon, GVI Andean Region Sales Manager.
