The Touch app, which is available for free to all PDK customers, allows users to unlock entrances remotely with the push of a button on the mobile app. Only entryways matching the user’s permission level will be available to unlock. Once lockdown is activated, a bright red strobe light is illuminated on the inner door to give occupants, i.e., sheltering in place, greater peace of mind that the door is securely locked down. Engineered to change color overnight, the badges show a bright “VOID” image that tells staff the wearer does not have permission to be in their facility. Once activated at sign-in, the badge starts turning color within six hours, completing the change the next day.
