Arecont Vision Launches Channel Partner Certification Program

Arecont Vision, producer of IP-based megapixel camera technology, has launched its Channel Partner Certification Program with the goal of instructing and certifying system integrators, distributors, architects and engineers in the development of megapixel video surveillance solutions.

The certification program's sessions will educate the market on megapixel technology in general and on Arecont Visions' products, helping partners to succeed.

“Attendees will learn all about megapixel technology -- where it was, where it is now and where it's going,” said Scott Schafer, Arecont Vision executive vice president of sales and marketing. “Educating our channel partners about the advantages and value that megapixel technology provides is an important step in broadening the market. Our channel partners will come away with a much stronger ability to design, configure, install, and support their customers. Additionally, they will be able to present, demonstrate and build compelling business cases for their customers. Being able to provide a strong return on investment (ROI) is also a key deliverable.”

Resellers will learn how to develop complete megapixel solutions, will receive a Certificate of Completion and can promote their certification to customers. Arecont Vision certified resellers will receive preferential treatment on leads and projects.

The Channel Partner Certification Program course will cover the advantages of H.264 video compression and how Arecont Vision implements the standard. Other topics include understanding pixel density/pixels on target; optics and sensor technology (CMOS vs. CCD), what differentiates Arecont Vision in the market, and the company's product lineup. The course will provide hands-on instruction about setup, configuration and troubleshooting.

Upcoming sessions are scheduled for the week of June 15 in Northern Europe. Future dates in the United States include July 7 in Baltimore, July 9 in New York, July 14 in Chicago and July 16 in Seattle. Sessions are planned the week of October 5 in Southern Europe. Sessions will also be taking place in Latin America, Middle East, Africa, Asia Pacific and Australia.

Attendees will also receive an Arecont Vision MegaKit including a megapixel camera, a megapixel lens, mini-tripod, PoE splitter/injector, two retractable CAT5e cables, and a custom-labeled Arecont Vision case.
