ComNet Adds New North American Strategic Partner

Communication Networks of Danbury, Conn., known as ComNet, a leading manufacturer of fiber optic transmission and networking equipment, has been selected by Cypress Computer Systems to develop a fiber optic interface to be used with their line of access control and facility management systems. Cypress Computer Systems turned to ComNet due to their reputation for developing a line of advanced fiber optic and communication networking products. Cypress joins the growing list of manufacturers to partner with ComNet to take advantage of their industry-leading technology.

By adding ComNet to their offering, Cypress can now provide their customers with a quality fiber solution for their connectivity and transmission requirements. Cypress offers physical security solutions that include access control and alarm management. These are all applications that require a reliable transmission medium to operate correctly. Cypress has been a leader in utilizing wireless transmission for their systems, but due to the growing demand for the reliability and widespread use of fiber optics, turned to ComNet. This is where ComNet excels. Cypress can now offer wireless, Ethernet, copper and fiber transmission solutions depending on the application.
