Boon Edam Inc. to Demonstrate StereoVision Anti-Piggybacking Technology At ISC West

Boon Edam Inc. will demonstrate a new anti-piggybacking technology at ISC West. The new system will be installed in the Tourlock revolving security door on display in booth #10034 to allow live demonstrations of the sensors and their ability to stop piggybacking attempts into buildings.

The system merges two types of sensing technologies – optical and near-infrared light – to monitor the compartment of a revolving security door or portal. The two technologies work together to determine displacement and distance by measuring the time it takes light to travel from the instrument to an object and back. The new system can accurately tell the difference between two people and one person holding a box or luggage to minimize false rejections. The near-infrared light sensor is not affected by sunlight or reflections, which eliminates any environmental impairment of the system at locations near the exterior of buildings.

    A8V MIND

Hexagon’s Geosystems presents a portable version of its Accur8vision detection system. A rugged all-in-one solution, the A8V MIND (Mobile Intrusion Detection) is designed to provide flexible protection of critical outdoor infrastructure and objects. Hexagon’s Accur8vision is a volumetric detection system that employs LiDAR technology to safeguard entire areas.
