MegaPath Names Dan Foster President of Business Markets

MegaPath Inc., a provider of managed data, voice and security services in North America, has named Dan Foster as president of business markets, reporting to the company’s CEO and Chairman, D. Craig Young.

“MegaPath has a huge market opportunity, delivering leading-edge Hosted Voice and fully-managed security and MPLS services to organizations of all sizes, and this requires a leader who understands the complexity of our customers’ communications requirements,” Young said. “Having worked with MegaPath’s customers for more than 10 years, Dan knows this market and what it takes to be successful. His dedication to partners and end-users will significantly set MegaPath apart from other vendors in our space.”

Foster previously served as MegaPath’s executive vice president of sales and marketing, overseeing the company’s direct sales and partner initiatives until January 2011. In his new role as president of business markets, Foster is chartered with expanding the company’s presence in the channel and key markets, including healthcare and retail. With responsibility for the MegaPath Business Markets P&L, he will oversee all functions within the division, including enterprise and SMB sales, product development, product management, and marketing. Chris Gellos, who replaced Foster in his sales position, will continue as senior vice president business sales.

“After a brief departure, I am excited to return to MegaPath and help transform the company into the industry’s most successful provider of voice, security and connectivity services,” Foster said. “Following last year’s merger, MegaPath is dedicating significant resources into our network footprint, technology and customer service, which will be the cornerstones of our success moving forward. This is an exciting time for the company and I am energized by the opportunities ahead of us.”

Bruce Chatterley, who previously served as CEO of Speakeasy and president of MegaPath’s Business Markets, has departed the company to pursue other opportunities.
