Ram Appalaraju Joins Enterasys Networks as VP of Marketing

Enterasys Networks, a Siemens Enterprise Communications company, has appointed Ram Appalaraju as vice president of marketing. Appalaraju brings with him more than 20 years of marketing experience in high-technology enterprises with extensive expertise in virtualization, automation and management technologies for data center environments.

"His years of experience leading marketing efforts for networking and enterprise IT companies will greatly contribute to our efforts to gain additional market share, broaden our customer base and drive the company's messaging strategy."

Appalaraju comes to Enterasys from Meru Networks, where he served for the past 18 months as the senior vice president of marketing. Prior to that, he has served in senior management positions for several other enterprises, including Isilon Systems, HP and GE.

During Appalaraju's leadership, the companies he worked for experienced significant growth and transformed into solution centric companies. His skills include managing end-to-end marketing functions including planning, branding and field marketing; expertise in cloud and virtualization strategy; and developing and implementing effective business and pricing models.
