Datapipe Joins the Cloud Security Alliance

Datapipe, a provider of managed services and infrastructure for IT and cloud computing, has joined the Cloud Security Alliance (CSA), a non-profit organization formed to promote the use of best practices for providing security assurance within cloud computing.

Datapipe will work with the CSA to promote thought leadership and best practices for secure cloud computing. A common issue among cloud adopters is mistaking a compliant platform for a compliant solution. Datapipe can help explain this difference as well as the importance of extending existing workflows and controls to the cloud to ensure organizations meet governance requirements. Datapipe will also work with the CSA to develop and participate in educational programs on the appropriate uses of cloud computing and cloud security solutions.

"As more companies look to reap the rewards of cloud computing, security and compliance are becoming the gatekeepers for adoption," said Joel Friedman, chief security officer for Datapipe. "At Datapipe, we're doing everything we can to educate our clients on the level of security they need and the security controls required to meet those needs. We have an established, proven record of excellence in customer support and technology, and as members of the CSA, we look forward to working together to further promote awareness and best practices."

"Datapipe's years of proven experience providing of enterprise-ready solutions for managing and securing mission-critical IT service, its ability to constantly anticipate the needs of its clients and its exceptional customer service make it a great addition to the CSA," said CSA board member Jerry Archer. "We look forward to Datapipe's contributions to our best practices and education efforts."
