MANDIANT Names Jurgen Kutscher Managing Director, Professional Services

MANDIANT, a provider of incident response and computer forensics solutions and services, announced Jurgen Kutscher has joined the company as managing director, professional services. Kutscher most recently served as a managing principal and director of professional security services for Verizon Business, previously Cybertrust. Kutscher will lead MANDIANT’s New York City professional services organization and oversee the Proactive service line.

Kutscher began his career in 1998 as an application and product development specialist at NetVision, later known as Ubizen. He went on to lead product management, account management and general operations before relocating to the United States in 2002 to head Ubizen’s U.S. business operations. Ubizen was acquired by Cybertrust in 2005, and Cybertrust was acquired in 2007 by Verizon. Through the transitions, Kutscher advanced and delivered consistent leadership.

“Jurgen brings to MANDIANT a proven track record of success managing a professional security consulting practice,” said Travis Reese, MANDIANT president and chief operating officer. “We expect to double our footprint in the region to meet the growing demand for our professional services and look forward to Jurgen’s many contributions.”

Kutscher earned a masters degree in software engineering (graduating with distinction) from Vrije Universiteit Brussel and a degree in computer science from Vesalius College, both in Brussels. He is fluent in German, English, French and conversational Dutch.
