Educational and Networking Opportunities Available for Security Specifiers at ISC Solutions

SecuritySpecifiers.com, a Web database that consists of more than 1,300 specifier-consultants, has agreed to produce a major educational program and several networking opportunities at ISC Solutions Nov. 2-3 at New York's Javits Convention Center. The education program, to take place on Wed. Nov. 2 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., fills a gap in targeted educational opportunities for architects, engineers, specifiers and consultants involved in the security system design process, delivered in a multi-vendor yet vendor-neutral format. A vertical market presentation, sponsored by PSA Security Network, will follow the educational program, along with a networking reception and time to visit the ISC Solutions exhibits.

The educational program will include four concurrent sessions for a total of 12 presentation hours on topics of significance as indicated by SecuritySpecifiers.com. These include design technology with an emphasis on building information modeling (BIM), product technology (including PSIM, video analytics and management, 3D/HD/megapixel video, biometrics) and network technology (design, storage and bandwidth management).

"This program is a first in delivering comprehensive and balanced education to an integral part of the security market," said Ray Coulombe, founder and managing director of SecuritySpecifiers.com. "We are seeking to present valuable technical and non-commercial information during these sessions where members of the physical security industry can more effectively teach and engage the specifier community. This engagement requires that the specifier community be identifiable and reachable by suppliers of security equipment and services, by integrators who implement designed systems, and by owners, end-users and architects. ISC Solutions is a perfect venue for this program because of the make-up of the exhibiting and attending community."

"We are very excited to partner with SecuritySpecifiers.com on this valuable program," said Ed Several, senior vice president and general manager of the ISC portfolio of events. "We deliver so many of the elements of the security distribution channel at ISC Solutions, and now, with this program, we bridge the gap and offer something for everyone. This is truly a unique opportunity that will continue at ISC West, as well."

SecuritySpecifiers.com was established in 2010 by Ray Coulombe, a security industry veteran, to address the need for the physical security industry to more effectively engage with the specifier community. SecuritySpecifiers.com facilitates the process by providing a comprehensive searchable data base of security specifiers, access to suppliers' A&E specifications and a forum for information and interaction.
