Gary Landschoot Joins Baker as Mid-Atlantic Region Business Development Manager
Michael Baker Jr., Inc., a unit of Michael Baker Corp., announces that Gary Landschoot has joined Baker as regional business development manager for the Mid-Atlantic region which includes Virginia, North Carolina, Maryland, District of Columbia, West Virginia, Kentucky and Tennessee. He is responsible for identifying and developing significant opportunities throughout the region including strategy development, pursuit planning and client development.
Landschoot has 27 years experience in the consulting engineering business with his primary focus on transportation. During the past 17 years, he worked for international engineering companies in capacities of regional and national business development, as well as six years as regional operations manager overseeing transportation, environmental, land development and water resource practices. His most recent position was senior vice president and client development manager focusing on surface transportation, rail, public-private partnerships and design-build pursuits. In this role, he was the pursuit leader for the Florida High Speed Rail initiative and coordinated with company resources internationally. Landschoot also has experience managing political advocacy including lobbyist management with federal, state and local government staff. During the last ten years, he has been involved in the identification and integration of seven acquisitions.
He is active in many industry organizations including AASHTO, SASHTO, APTA, USHRA, AREMA, FES, ACEC, ASHE, DBIA and several other regional organizations.
