Melter Corp. Installs VIVOTEK Cameras to Monitor Facilities

Melter Corp. a Mexico-based manufacturer of water-cooled components for the steel industry, has added 50 VIVOTEK network cameras to its 635,000-square-foot office.

Before the company installed the new cameras, it had only a few analog cameras set up on one of the floors in the building.

With the new cameras, end users can receive and access high-definition video footage.

The company installed VIVOTEK IP7142 cameras in three separate buildings in areas that needed high-contrast lighting conditions. The company chose to use that camera in dark areas because it has a sensor that lets the device adapt to different lighting.

Melter also installed VIVOTEK IP8362 bullet cameras in outdoor areas and high-performance SD7313 cameras with 35x zoom lenses around the buildings perimeters. The company chose the SD7313 because it's weatherproof and offers close-up images of distant objects in sharp detail.

Finally, the company installed a professional single-channel video server and recording sotware to convert its analog signal camera system and integrate it into the new network surveillance solution.
