Essence Group Unveils its Next Generation Personal Emergency Response System

Essence Group is pleased to announce the release of its next generation Personal Emergency Response System (PERS) called EverGuard-Care. The EverGuard-Care is a home health monitoring system designed for seniors, the chronically ill and adults living with a disability to remain independent in the comfort of their homes. The system is easy to self-install, simple to use and highly dependable, giving peace of mind to those in need of care and their families and caregivers.

Essence Group Unveils its Next Generation Personal Emergency Response SystemThe EverGuard-Care platform is an affordable and advanced system with proven, worldwide product deployment and reliability. The system is based on wireless technology, using both passive and active features that can easily be programmed to meet specific health monitoring needs and deliver the right response at the right time.

With an advanced modular system, the addition of sensors (motion, smoke detectors, contact for cabinet or door, etc.) can provide daily activity reporting to professional monitoring services. Dissemination of valuable and reassuring information via mobile apps and Web-enabled devices can also be delivered to family members and caregivers with an added service level. The system’s communication platform is either configured with a traditional land line (PSTN) interface or uses a GSM communications channel protocol.

The EverGuard-Care has significant competitive advantages that include an extended wireless range, automated monitoring for extreme temperature variations and a unique algorithm to provide family and caregivers early notification of possible deviations in activations via wireless sensors.

Laurie Orlov, a tech industry veteran, elder care advocate and founder of Aging in Place Technology Watch, stated “Essence’s new PERS system can provide a remarkable degree of security and safety based on its extended pendant range and automatic extreme temperature notification."

According to an AARP Report, the vast majority of older adults have a strong desire to live in their own homes and communities. Scalable and easy to expand, EverGuard-Care is quickly becoming the PERS solution of choice for those who want to remain independent in the comfort and safety of their home.
