Sydney Airport Triggers Full-Scale Security Alert after Man on iPad wanders through Exit

Sidney Airport Triggers Full-Scale Security Alert after Man on iPad wanders through ExitThe Sydney Airport issued a full-scale security alert, causing the evacuation of a terminal, thanks to a man who was too busy on his iPad to pay attention to any signage. Terminal 3 of the airport, which is used for domestic flights, was cleared out after the man entered without passing through the correct security screening.

According to a report, the man forgot something which led to him entering the wrong way after heading towards his plane.

“The man disembarked a flight and left. It appears he wasn’t paying attention, was looking at his iPad, forgot something and went back past (the security area),” a Qantas spokeswoman said.

Several flights were delayed as a result of the breach.
