Man Steals Truck, Gets Arrested After JFK Security Breach

20-year-old Claudio Duran was arrested after bypassing a security checkpoint at JFK International Airport

A man was arrested following a security breach at JFK International Airport, according to reports. Police arrested 20-year-old Claudio Duran after he bypassed a security checkpoint at terminal 8 early Friday morning.

Witnesses saw Duran run through an exit door at Gate 37 before getting restrained by a pilot. Police have now discovered that Duran arrived in a stolen truck.

The truck, a white 2014 Isuzu, was reported stolen in Manhattan two hours before the incident. Duran was in possession of the truck’s keys when he was arrested.

He has been charged with grand larceny, criminal possession of stolen property, and criminal trespass.
