Bosch Security Systems Opens New Distribution Center in South Carolina

Bosch Security Systems celebrated the opening of its newly-constructed distribution center in Greer, S.C. Executives from the company, key customers, and local dignitaries attended the opening ceremony for the 156,000 square-foot facility located at 140 Caliber Ridge Road in Greer.

At the new site, associates will receive, store and ship more than 50,000 different products for video surveillance, intrusion and fire detection, access control and management systems, as well as professional audio and conference systems. They will also create product kits and support light assembly for customer-specific projects. The facility is designed around a Lean Logistics concept to allow for a flexible product storage design and standardized processing, which ensures speed and accuracy for fulfilling orders for customers across North and South America. The site will also serve as a regional technical training center for Bosch Security Systems customers.

“With the successful opening of our distribution center, we are leveraging synergies with multiple Bosch facilities in the state and benefiting from close proximity to the South Carolina Inland Port,” said Christopher Gerace, regional president, Bosch Security Systems. “This will allow us to enhance our service to customers through greater efficiency and flexibility.”
