ICE Cable Systems Delivers Thinner 4K Ultra HD Compatible HDMIs

ICE Cable Systems will be tapping this week’s InfoComm 2015 tradeshow (booth #4345) to unveil its line of Thinner Clear Series 2 HDMI cables.

Like ICE’s standard Clear Series 2 HDMI cables (which have been sold in the Audio Video, Alarm and Security,  Commercial, Electrical Contracting and Data Center channels for several years now), the new thinner cables incorporate the company’s Grip lock technology and low-profile, compact head design. They also support 4K Ultra HD with deep color.

The new cables measure a narrow 5.5mm in diameter (25% skinnier than the company’s already-thin Clear Series 2).  This improved width allows for an extremely tight bend-radius, that combined with low-profile, compact heads, makes it easier for integrators to route and secure difficult HDMI connections behind today’s slim TVs and hard-to-reach AV racks - and without fear of compromising the integrity of the cable by sharply bending it.

“As with all ICE products, we strive to bring together the best wire and materials for reference performance,” said ICE Cable Systems President Brian Rizzo. “To be able to support 4K UHD with deep color from such a narrow diameter HDMI cable is a great win for ICE Cable Systems and its dealers.”

The Thinner Clear Series 2 cables are available in black and grey and lengths of .5, 1, 2 and 3 meters.  For safety, all ICE Cable HDMI products are UL and (UL) listed.

ICE Cable Systems has more than 50 active distributors around the world selling its products.  Integrators can locate distributors in their area by calling ICE Cable at 310.444.1950 or visiting http://www.icecable.com/where-to-buy/
