The Marquee apartments by University of Central Florida’s (UCF) campus have drawn attention for bad reasons: a number of crimes being committed on the premises has left residents feeling scared, and in some cases, forcing them to move out.
A lack of perimeter lighting and security cameras are just a couple of reasons the students say the complex isn’t safe.
University police have responded by promising more visibility in the area and by being proactive.
Students are happy to hear that police are attempting to make changes, but many have said that it is too late and the reputation has already been ruined.
