Live From GSX: Day 2

Live From GSX 2021 is back for Day 2 of this year’s conference in Orlando, Fla., bringing the action straight to your screen. Remember to follow us on Twitter at @SecurToday for updates throughout the day. And visit our Live From GSX 2021 page for the central hub of everything #GSX2021!

NAPCO

The NAPCO booth was crowded all day with people watching demonstrations of Air Access and the E-Access Embedded Controllers. David Fogle, Field Support Engineer at NAPCO Security Technologies-Continental Access Division, was kind enough to provide a demonstration for both products—and even pose for a picture!

OnSolve

OnSolve threw a Happy Hour at 3 p.m., where attendees entered for a chance to win a $200 Amazon gift card. OnSolve team members were on hand to discuss the <a. href="https://www.prnewswire.com/news-releases/onsolve-unveils-latest-innovation-at-global-security-exchange-2021-301385620.html">OnSolve Control Center, a centralized operating hub that empowers organizations to automate workloads and authorize workflows for threats in real time.</a.>

I also had the opportunity to sit down with OnSolve’s Chief Technology Officer Dustin Radtke and Chief Marketing Officer Sue Holub. We discussed the benefits of Artificial Intelligence, including the specific ways it can augment human ability and intelligence. During an emergency scenario, time is of the essence, and 60 seconds of lag time—or quick action—can make all the difference. A recurring theme of our conversation was how AI can think and react more quickly than humans, fortifying the ability of real people to make the right decision when every second counts.

Salient

Salient also threw a Cocktail Hour at 2:30 p.m., where Director of National Accounts Grant Cowan kicked off the event with a brief speech inviting GSX-goers to enjoy a beverage and learn more about Salient’s open video cloud data platform. Judging by the crowded booth, the event was a hit! See more photos on Twitter at @SecurToday.
