Live from ISC West: Pre-Show Preview

It’s hard to believe, but ISC West 2024 is almost here.

This year’s show will take place April 9-12 at the Venetian Expo in Las Vegas, Nevada. The Campus Security & Life Safety and Security Today staff will be on hand to provide live updates about the security industry’s latest innovations, trends, and products. Whether you’re attending the show or keeping tabs on it from afar, we’ve got you covered. Make sure to follow the Live from ISC West 2024 page for photos, videos, interviews, product demonstrations, announcements, commentary, and more from the heart of the show floor!

For this year’s Live From program, we’re proud to partner with five sponsors: Hytera, Princeton Identity, AtlasIED, DoorKing, and LiftMaster.

Each of these companies is coming to Las Vegas ready to make a mark, and we’re happy to help them broadcast their achievements to the industry at large. Below is a preview of each vendor and what they’re bringing to the show.

Hytera (Booth 20099): Hytera will be quite busy at ISC West 2024 with both a trio of new products and a number of presentations on the show floor. One of the new products is the HR652 compact DMR repeater. Measuring less than 7 inches tall and a little more than 4 pounds in weight, it can be installed on any flat surface with limited wall space. You can use it to expand radio range with consistent, reliable, and seamless voice data and communication.

Princeton Identity (Booth 23004): Security identity authentication provider Princeton Identity will be at the show highlighting its powerful new EyeAllow. While the company is known for its biometric offerings, EyeAllow supports a broad range of ways to authenticate an ID. Those include iris and face biometrics, RFID cards, high-frequency smart cards, mobile credentials, biometrics-on-cards, and PIN codes.

AtlasIED (Booth 31061): While AtlasIED will be making news at the show, earlier this year the company announced a partnership with the National Systems Contractors Association and PASS to create the Ivey's Everyday Heroes Program. The program’s mission is to provide financial support for individuals in U.S. schools who have selflessly acted in way to keep others safe during an emergency situations.

AtlasIED president Johnathan Ivey continues to stress the importance of creating solutions that enhance school safety:

“Children should not feel fear or threatened when at school. Schools are supposed to be a safe place. But over the past decades, school violence has increased and it’s unacceptable. The technology that we developed, first under my father’s guidance and now under mine,” Ivey says, “is just a small contribution to help reduce active lethal threats in schools. Ivey’s Everyday Heroes, developed in memory of my father, Loyd Ivey, is designed to help recognize students, staff, and educators who have exhibited heroic and selfless acts to keep others safe.”

DoorKing (Booth 23015): DoorKing provides access control systems, vehicular gate operators, parking control products and vehicle barrier products. The company will be busy at its booth showcasing a number products including the 1625 Wedge Barrier System. The ASTM F2656-20 Certified system can stop 5,000-pound vehicles at 30 mph to safeguard property and occupants.

LiftMaster, powered by myQ (Booth 26060): LiftMaster® is the leading brand of professionally installed Smart Access Solutions with an expansive line of commercial and residential products, designed to meet the needs of any property. Our cloud-based Smart Video Intercom systems, powered by myQ®, allow property managers to stay connected to what’s happening at a property through a single dashboard. The myQ Community app lets residents view and verify guests before granting entry to the building or community. Snap One has announced its popular Luma x20 family of surveillance products now offers even greater security and privacy for home and business owners across the globe by giving them full control over integrators’ system access to view live and recorded video. According to Snap One Product Manager Derek Webb, the new “customer handoff” feature provides enhanced user control after initial installation, allowing the owners to have total privacy while also making it easy to reinstate integrator access when maintenance or assistance is required. This new feature is now available to all Luma x20 users globally. “The Luma x20 family of surveillance solutions provides excellent image and audio capture, and with the new customer handoff feature, it now offers absolute privacy for camera feeds and recordings,” Webb said. “With notifications and integrator access controlled through the powerful OvrC remote system management platform, it’s easy for integrators to give their clients full control of their footage and then to get temporary access from the client for any troubleshooting needs.” 3
