Quanergy Solutions Unveils Q-Track 3D LiDAR at GSX

Quanergy Solutions, Inc. invites attendees of GSX Orlando 2024 to experience the “next big thing” in physical security with their Q-Track™ 3D LiDAR (Light Detection and Ranging) solution on show, designed for advanced security and business intelligence applications.

“At Quanergy, we believe that 3D LiDAR technology is a game-changer for the physical security landscape,” said Enzo Signore, CEO of Quanergy. “GSX Orlando is the perfect stage to showcase how our solutions are setting new standards in proactive security, helping organizations worldwide to stay ahead of potential threats with next-generation technology.”

Innovative Products Showcased at GSX Orlando 2024

Q-Track™: The Q-Track™ solution represents a major leap forward in physical security by integrating Quanergy’s state-of-the-art long-range 3D LiDAR sensors with cutting-edge perception software. This powerful combination delivers unparalleled 3D intelligent proactive awareness, drastically reducing false alarms and enhancing life-saving capabilities. Q-Track™ sets new industry benchmarks for event detection, object classification, and tracking, redefining what’s possible in security and business intelligence technology.

Q-Track HD: Designed to provide optimal tracking and classification in very challenging environments, such as crowded airports, retail stores, and office buildings. With its 360-degree horizontal field of view and a very wide vertical field of view, a meshed network of Q-Track HDs can accurately track over 1,000 people simultaneously, even as they navigate obstructions such as line queues, columns, shelves, desks, and more.

Q-Track Dome: Tailored for smaller and more complex environments, such as office buildings, corridors, mantraps, and line queues. With a 90-degree vertical field of view, this sensor is optimized for dense areas, offering unmatched performance and reliability for object tracking and crowd intelligence gathering applications.

Security-as-a-Service: A Flexible Approach

In a first for the industry, Q-Track™ is also available as a 3D LiDAR Security-as-a-Service (SaaS) solution. This subscription-based model offers businesses greater financial flexibility, allowing them to adopt Q-Track™ as an operating expense (OPEX) rather than a capital expense (CAPEX). Subscribers benefit from a comprehensive package that includes 3D sensors, perception software licenses, support, maintenance, upgrades, and a full warranty throughout the subscription period.

Ask most companies about their future technology plans and the answers will most likely include AI. Then ask how they plan to deploy it, and that is where the responses may start to vary. Every company has unique surveillance requirements that are based on market focus, scale, scope, risk tolerance, geographic area and, of course, budget. Those factors all play a role in deciding how to configure a surveillance system, and how to effectively implement technologies like AI. Read Now

  • 6 Ways Security Awareness Training Empowers Human Risk Management

Organizations are realizing that their greatest vulnerability often comes from within – their own people. Human error remains a significant factor in cybersecurity breaches, making it imperative for organizations to address human risk effectively. As a result, security awareness training (SAT) has emerged as a cornerstone in this endeavor because it offers a multifaceted approach to managing human risk. Read Now

  • The Stage is Set

The security industry spans the entire globe, with manufacturers, developers and suppliers on every continent (well, almost—sorry, Antarctica). That means when regulations pop up in one area, they often have a ripple effect that impacts the entire supply chain. Recent data privacy regulations like GDPR in Europe and CPRA in California made waves when they first went into effect, forcing businesses to change the way they approach data collection and storage to continue operating in those markets. Even highly specific regulations like the U.S.’s National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) can have international reverberations – and this growing volume of legislation has continued to affect global supply chains in a variety of different ways.
