Brivo Systems recently announced that the Kodak Theatre in Hollywood, Calif., has chosen Brivo Systems to substantially upgrade security at the famous venue. Tech Controls Inc., is the integrator for this continuing project.
Avigilon recently announced that it has installed the Avigilon HD surveillance system to monitor traffic at Greenwich Peninsula, a new district in London surrounding the world-class music, sports and entertainment complex, The O2. The Avigilon HD surveillance system has also been installed at indigO2, a 2,350 capacity live music venue inside The O2.
After the staggering success of the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing, you could argue that things have been changed forever.

Since Sept. 11, 2001, the American sports industry has increased security at major sporting venues and at high-profile events such as the Super Bowl, World Series and Olympics. Stadiums provide a perfect target for mass casualties and catastrophic economic impact, and even university sports programs are taking the necessary steps to secure their stadiums and campuses against potential threats.

Avigilon recently announced that Canberra Stadium, an international sports venue in Australia’s capital city, has deployed the Avigilon High Definition surveillance system to monitor patrons, ensuring improved public safety and overall venue security.
With a capacity of more than 62,000, the Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum hosts more than 100 events a year -- everything from professional baseball and football to the latest music concerts and family shows. With so many events at the venue, coliseum officials recently installed a Wi-Fi-based active RFID system from AeroScout and VenueSoft to help staff quickly deploy personnel, such as security, police, medical or facilities staff, if issues arise during events.

Panasonic recently announced the company will install 2,000 surveillance camera systems at various venues of the Beijing 2008 Summer Olympic Games which begin on August 8.
