The AutoVu Sharp IP-based license plate recognition appliance from Genetec is suitable for fixed and mobile installations. The unit reads plates of parked or moving vehicles traveling up to 140 miles per hour, spanning two lanes of traffic. The device provides the advantages of having sophisticated analytics residing on the edge, as well as simplified installation and configuration, reduced network load and head-end processing. Applications include law enforcement, surveillance and access control.
