The Pedz system applies smart-tag RFID technology
to provide individual protection to pediatric
patients at risk from abduction or flight.
Built on the technology of the Hugs infant protection
system, Pedz is specifically designed to
meet the clinical needs of pediatric departments.
It features a tamper-resistant tag with a
cut-resistant band to both deter abductors and
prevent nuisance alarms. The tag can be quickly
removed when a patient needs a medical procedure,
and then reattached using the same band.
