B-SCAN
Smiths Detection’s B-SCAN X-ray people scanning series for U.S.
prisons and other security checkpoint screening applications provides
advanced security to uncover threats and contraband concealed
in body cavities, artificial limbs or on a person. In a non-intrusive
single pass, using a smaller dose than backscatter X-ray, the
scanner provides a high-resolution, head-to-toe image of a person in
less than seven seconds. Imaging enhancement tools then provide
the operator with information to evaluate the image for concealed
objects.
