Open Options Inc.
Open Options DNA Fusion v6.1 is the most up to date and advanced version of our flagship access control software ever. One of the most notable advancements of v6.1 is the expansive integration of third-party systems through Open Options FLEX API (Application Programming Interface) which provides a clean and easy-to-use mechanism for developing interfaces to DNA Fusion software. v6.1 also interfaces with Milestone Systems’ new add-on, the XProtect Access Control Module (ACM). ACM allows XProtect users to access Open Options DNA Fusion access control software from within the XProtect Smart Client.
Axis Communications, Inc.
The AXIS A1001 Network Door Controller is the industry’s first non-proprietary, open IP-based edge controller. AXIS A1001 complements Axis’ portfolio of IP video products and the platform creates integration possibilities with two different solutions: built-in, web-based AXIS Entry Manager software for small- to mid-sized installations combined with software designed by Axis’ Application Development Partners for enterprise-sized solutions that meet advanced customer requirements. Additional features include PoE, UL 2043 plenum-rated listing, auto synchronization and storage of cardholder data between controllers, and an installation wizard with unique wiring configuration printouts.
Honeywell Security & Communications
Honeywell’s NetAXS-123 with Ethernet virtual loop (EVL) is a web-based access control system that enables integrators to provide customers with simple, scalable and affordable access control. The system’s modular design allows businesses to purchase only as much access control as needed – down to the specific number of doors, making it easy to add more doors anytime. EVL eliminates the need for long runs of multiple cables by replacing them with just one PoE cable per door, which means reduced installation time and reduced costs. The scalable system paves the way for business owners to expand access control as needs change.
SecuraKey
Secura Key’s new white paper on its NOVA.16 access control panel, “Secura Key’s NOVA.16—Something New for Small Systems,” explains the new system architecture and how it lowers installation, hardware and expansion costs, and also explaining the technology behind the product. The white paper describes the new system configuration, the more efficient distribution of processing power, how the product was developed, and why RS485 communications were selected over other alternatives. It also details backward compatibility and retrofit scenarios. These white papers are useful to systems integrators, OEMs, and Application Developers in both the Security and RFID channels. They are written for an executive level audience.
SecuraKey
Secura Key now offers updated sample architects and engineers specifications for its SK-NET Software and two new access control panels: the SK-ACPE-LE, an upgraded version of the SK-ACP 2-door panel; and the NOVA.16, a new 16-door access control panel. These specifications are available on the Secura Key website in MS Word document format, allowing users to them cut and paste them into the standard AIA specification template. Architects and engineers specifications make it easier for consultants and system integrators, to create and/or respond to complex bid specifications and RFQ’s, saving the time required to reformat information from product data sheets.
Nedap
The number of agile working organizations is increasing rapidly and so is the question for secure storage for peoples’ personal belongings. In response to this, Nedap has integrated Locker Management into the 3.1.1 release of its AEOS Security Management Platform. Employees, visitors and contractors can now use their access cards to access lockers, filing cabinets, laptop lockers or post boxes. The straightforward user interface increases the usability of the system and it reduces the risk that user errors occur. This way, Nedap made access control at micro level accessible to everyone, while offering the flexibility, cost effectiveness and ease of use which is so familiar to AEOS users.
