The ClearSight rain-resistant dome coating from Panasonic increases the operational utility of outdoor cameras in wet weather. The hydrophilic coating allows rain drops to flatten onto the surface of the camera dome, significantly reducing optical distortion and providing better visibility in rainy conditions. The coated surface also resists the development of water stains and dust accumulation, which reduces dome maintenance.
March Networks introduces the four-channel 8704 S Hybrid Network Video Recorder (NVR). The 8704 S delivers the same exceptional reliability, centralized management and crystal-clear image quality available with the company’s eight, 16 and 32-channel 8000 Series recorders. Measuring just 3.2 x 8.3 x 5.0 in (8.1 x 21.2 x 12.6 cm) and able to record at 30 frames per second on all four channels, the compact NVR is ideal for installation in standalone ATMs and smaller banking branches seeking real-time video recording for enhanced security and fraud detection.
The residential and commercial access control company introduces new two, three and five-megapixel cameras in dome, mini-dome, box and bullet (pictured) styles. The new cameras have features such as multiple video streams, H.264 video compression, vandal resistant housings, IP66 weatherization rating, WDR, auto iris control, two-way audio and PoE power. All of the cameras are ONVIF 2.2 profile S compliant and integrate to popular VMS systems.
Now available is the Schneider Electric Pelco High-Resolution Sarix TI Series Thermal Imaging (TI) IP cameras. Adding to its popular line of existing thermal imaging surveillance technologies known for creating high-quality and affordable thermal imaging with infrared detection, the cameras were built on the Sarix technology platform, and provide a digital end-to-end IP solution that allows for easy integration into a wide variety of third-party systems. The camera has longer detection, recognition and identification ranges that are up to twice as long as the mid-range model, making it ideal for the most demanding and critical security application.

The 6 Series i-PRO camera line based on its next generation UniPHier LSI processors includes cameras that feature 60 frames per second performance on both 720p and 1080p models, as well as improved compression efficiency. The new platform also features Enhanced Super Dynamic technology enabling 130db video dynamic range, which can deliver performance in any lighting condition. The cameras can also encode up to four H.264 streams simultaneously and feature high sensitivity in low light conditions generating usable color video at less than 0.11x illumination.
Axis Communications introduces two cost-effective video encoders that can serve small to medium-sized surveillance installations. The AXIS M7016 Video Encoder provides full frame rate video, is attractive, cost effective and features easy entry to network video. The AXIS P7216 Video Encoder features full frame rate video, adds audio and I/O ports and is equipped with a small form-factor pluggable (SFP) slot for use with fiber optics. Each uses one single network port, which drives down cost and port density of the surveillance system infrastructure.
EMI Security Products
The 10BHI-24MAG-W Mini Magnum environmental camera housing device from EMI Security is lightweight and made out of impact-resistant polymer plastic. The device is weather and tamper resistant, features a quick mount camera brack, has a side-hinged cover that can open to 180° for convenient parts tray during installation and includes quick camera adjustment. It can accommodate almost any standard body camera currently on the market.
The GXV3674 Variable-focal HD IP cameras from Grandstream—which can be used for indoor or outdoor usage prone to weather and light changes—feature an adjustable lens for clear monitoring, 1.2 Megapixel and 3.1 Megapixel CMOS sensors, integrated PoE, advanced security and MPEG at 720p/1080p resolutions, depending on the model. The device’s advanced Image Sensor Processor provides high performance in any light condition.
The Situator Express from NICE Systems serves as a new and advanced management layer for the NiceVision IP video surveillance system. The solution fuses the already existing video surveillance system with additional security systems, such as multi-vendor video, access control, intrusion detection and fire detection by using smart sensor correlation and automatic adaptive workflows. Situator Express enables companies to more easily focus on their core security challenges.
Schneider Electric has announced the release of its new Pelco Spectra High-Definition 1080 3X dome positioning system, which features a clearer image with higher resolution. The dome has Sarix technology, a solid pendant design, an optically precise bubble, built-in analytics and AutoTracker, which allows users to define the size of the object of interest and track it.
