William “Bill” Davis
William “Bill” Davis is physical security and risk management professional with over 25 years of experience in the Security industry.

Bill is currently the Senior Director responsible for the Physical Security department which encompasses the Physical Security Operation Center, Executive Protection, Threat Management and Incident Preparedness, Physical Security Compliance and Training and Uniform Security Services. His responsibilities include oversight of Ally’s Physical Security program to ensure a safe and secure environment for employees, contractors and visitors & assets within Ally Financial. The team’s primary concentration is to identify, analyze, mitigate and contain physical threats to the company. To do this the Physical Security team deploys enterprise policies and standards, employee training, monitoring tools and highly experienced personnel to mitigate impact of potential threats.

During his career Bill has lead teams in the pharmaceutical, financial and energy industries. Learning from each National Critical Infrastructure sector has given Bill and unique background and ability to adapt to changing environments and respond effectively where required.

Bill is a Certified Protection Professional, who holds a master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) and a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice. Bill received Ally’s highest honor, the LEAD Award, in 2021.

Bill is based in Charlotte, North Carolina, where he resides with his wife and two children.
